The Rinnaknock boat is a small one-man logboat, about 9ft long, with the footrest lugs still in place. The gunwhales are largely eroded leaving a slightly scalloped shape, but the lower hull is intact. The wreck was located by sidescan amongst rocks close to Rinnaknock (obviously...), and due to its size and condition was able to be lifted.
It was taken to a Pier in Annaghkeen for drawing and documenting, then it was returned to the silt in the lake. Amazingly it was still capable of floating.
